While this is outside my normal stomping grounds, Tulips are beautiful! Normally, I don't reccomend going during the weekend because this is a very busy event. It lasts all month (April 1-30th), but I am tempted to go to the Chili, Chowdah’ & Chocolate Cookoff on April 23rd (Sat) from 11-2pm. Its held at a retirement home and whats better than mom's cooking....Grandmas cooking!
There doesn't appear to be a fee from the website at http://www.tulipfestival.org/attractions/special_events, but still, it could be fun.
