I love, love, love this event. During this event, you get into NW Trek for FREE and receive a 1/2 priced tram ticket. Volksmarch is a German custom where you get to go on measured walks through native scenery (urban or rural) and there are many clubs dedicated to the past-time. Having lived in Germany for a time, this is a great way to spend time with the family, and outdoors, and pretty cheap too! Having done this walk many times, I recommend showing up at the beginning of the walk as tram rides fill up fast. And when you have little ones, the last thing they want to do at the end of a long walk is to wait to ride a train!
