Bird Walk at Adriana Hess Park - UP

On Monday Jan 9th from 12-1pm, at the Adriana Hess Wetland, courtesy of the Tahoma Audobon Society (www.tahomaaudubon.org),  a naturalist will walk you through the wetland and talk about nature, birds and our ecology.  This is a great program for nature lovers or for people who just want to get out and experience nature. Im pretty lucky in that my boys love anything outdoors, cold weather or warm.  And this is just the ticket to keep them wanting to learn more about life around them.

Fetch with Ruff Ruffman University Place

University Place library on December 1st from 4-5pm, explore your ability to manipulate a deck of cards.

Muppets Movies at UP Library

This Wednesday from 1:30 PM at University Place Library 'Its the Muppets' movie is playing.  Muppets seem to be a big thing recently.  I think they have a new movie in the theaters.  Instead of spending the big cash at the Theater, this is a viable alternative for the younger crowd who might not know the difference.  Recommended ages are 9-12.

Guided Walk in Adriana Hess Park - University Place

The Tahoma Audubon Society is hosting a guided walk at Adrianna Hess park on October 23rd from 4-5pm.

This is a family program to encourage families to appreciate the park by providing information and opportunities with a guided walking tour.

Pups in the Park- University Place

Pups in the Park is going to be bigger and better this year…and we want YOU to be a part of it! Join us on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cirque Bridgeport Park, 7250 Cirque Drive West, in University Place.

Treasures in the Park - University Place - June 4th

At Homestead Park, next to City Hall, in University Place this Saturday from 10am to 4pm the City of University Place is putting together a COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE. 

There is Food, Entertainment, and community members selling thier items.  This is a great opportunity to find some great bargains.  Or, if you have things you need to get rid of, sell as a Vendor. 

This looks like a lot of fun and a great community event.
