No need to pack up a weeks worth of food for a weekend away. No need to deal with the "are we there yet?" syndrome. The kids can invite their friends, even if they wouldn't all fit in the family car. The possibilities are endless.
Pitch a tent in your backyard.
Use an approved fire burn pit, or barbeque to roast hot dogs and marshmallows.
Tell ghost stories.
HAVE FUN ~ enjoy your time with the kids. While simple, it can be a great experience.
