This Saturday, June 4th, is World Oceans day. The Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium is celebrating by extra events in the aquarium with the sharks and the seahorses, as well as the Rocky Shores area with Polar Bear and Walrus enrichment.
The Zookeepers are giving food treats and extra toys during their various talks throughout the day. The Marine Discovery Center also has excellent hands-on exhibits for the kiddos.
Hours on Sat. are 9:30am - 6pm and entrance is only $13.25 for Pierce County adults and $9.75 for children.
Hint: If you have an Entertainment Book, there is a coupon for entrance.
