Safe Streets

Tomorrow is National Night Out. This is a neighborhood sponsored event where people can participate in fun and engaging affinities with their neighbors. In Tacoma, these activities are largly coordinated by the Safe Streets organization. See link below for more info.

Want to improve your community? Located in Tacoma, Washington, Safe Streets Campaign is a non-profit organization that brings people together—sometimes neighbors who get to know each other for the first time—to take back their streets. Through forming neighborhood block organizations, we help you plant the seed of grassroots, community leadership. That leadership helps hold communities together, and links them with can-do people in agencies and organizations to make neighborhoods safe. Working together is the key to reversing crime trends in our neighborhoods. Safe Streets is here to help create better, safer communities throughout Tacoma.
